Pastor & Woman's Ministry Director

Dr. Rick Thompson is the Lead Pastor of Living Water Community Church, a multicultural fellowship in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University with a B.A. in Ministry, he was ordained into the Gospel Ministry on November 9, 1997, and has served in full-time ministry in South Florida ever since. Under his innovative leadership, Living Water has experienced significant growth, and his ministry is known for being authentic, practical, and passionately Christ-centered. Pastor Rick and his wife, Deborah, have been married since 1988 and have four children: Amanda, Ricky, Caleb, and Brittany.

Pastor Sean & Shelly Ogilvie Production & Technical Pastor

Pastor Sean is the Production & Technical Pastor of LWCC and oversees our Production teams, shoulder to shoulder with his wife, Shelly. They have a passion to utilize avenues of technology to extend the reach of the Gospel. They believe we serve an excellent God and strive for excellence in whatever they do. A man and woman of faith, they embrace God’s promises, standing on His word. Pastor Sean and his wife Shelly have been married since 2005 and have three super, awesome, amazing sons.

Pastor Steve & Lena Diaz

Welcome & Greeter Coordinators

Pastor Steve and Lena have been married for 38 years. They both attended Kingdom Builders Bible College and it is the Joy of their lives to able to do the Lords work! They both serve as teachers of the good news, parents, and grandparents! They are dedicated to living by His grace, and preaching and teaching to live up to their full potential in Christ with humor, warmth, transparency and strength in our Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. Acts 20:32 "And now I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified."

Pastor Erik & Amanda Torres

Youth Ministry Pastor & Head of School at Living Water Christian Academy

Pastor Erik, with a deep love for Jesus, serves as our Youth Ministry Pastor. His natural talent for connecting with young hearts guides our youth on their faith journey with genuine humility.

Amanda, equally devoted, takes on the role of Head of School of Living Water Christian Academy. Her love for Jesus shines through her leadership and her nurturing of young minds.

Together, they are blessed with a family of five kids: Chris, Lucas, Madison, Grayson, and Summer. Their journey, marked by faith and humility, is a beautiful testament to their commitment to our church family.

Chaz & Diane Weber

Senior Adult Ministry Director

Chaz and Diane have been happily married since 1988 and are a blended family of six children, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. Chaz came to faith as a teenager and fully committed his life to Christ in his early twenties. Gifted in ministry, evangelism, hospitality, helps, and exhortation, he has served in worship, children’s church, juvenile detention, prison, and convalescent ministries. Their passion is to encourage seniors to share their life experiences with the church and community. Longtime friends of Pastor Rick and Deborah for nearly 40 years, they are excited for what God has ahead for LWCC.

Brittany Thompson

Kids Ministry Director

Brittany is a gifted artist and loves working with children! She is currently working on her bachelor's degree in addition to being the  kids' ministry  director for the church. She enjoys spending time with her family, creating works of art, and reading novels.

Janice Scott

Hospitality Coordinator 

Janice received her Childcare Training in Jamaica almost 30 years ago. After meeting the standards of DCF  here in Florida, she can proudly say that 24 years later, she is still able to fulfill her passion of working with children! Through Hospitality at Living Water  Community, she has been able to not only serve our precious children, but also our adult members. Janice always gives a warm welcome, a call, or even a warm meal (hers are the best) to serve God's people. She is a true Christ ambassador, and her actions communicate who she represents!

Dawn Ivey

Dance Team Coordinator

Dawn accepted the Lord as her Savior as a child & she still loves Him day by day. She considered herself blessed to be able to serve as the leader of the dance ministry at Living Water, since 2006. Dawn has a servant's heart as she works as a nurse. She loves to help all those she comes into contact with. She has a desire to continue lifting up the Lord in Spirit & in truth in this area & serve with other ministries in the fulfilling of the vision for this church!

Jessinda Alvarez

Worship Leader | Social Media & Graphics Designer

Jessinda has been part of Living Water Community Church since its very beginning. Having grown up under the leadership of Pastor Rick and Deborah during their time as youth pastors, she was honored to join them in planting Living Water and serve as the church’s first Worship Leader.

After many years away, Jessinda returned home and stepped back into leadership with a renewed passion for worship and creative ministry. Today, she leads the Worship Team and oversees social media and graphics for the church. Her heart is to help others experience God’s presence through worship and to share His message with excellence, creativity, and authenticity.

Maegan melody

Pastor's Assistant | Bookkeeper 

Maegan has been a part of our church family since 2007 and now serves as the Pastor’s assistant. As a devoted Christian, she lives a life centered on her love for Jesus and has a heart for helping others. She enjoys working behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly and faithfully supports the church’s mission every day.
